Castle Coole

Castle Coole is a stately 18th-century mansion and landscape park. The surrounding wooded landscape park sloping down to Lough Coole is ideal for long walks.

Crom Estate:

Set on the shores of Upper Lough Erne, the ruins of Crom Old Castle surrounded by one of Ireland’s most important nature conservation areas with many rare species.

Florence Court:

The house tour includes the exquisite rococo decoration, fine Irish furniture and service quarters. There are extensive walks in the grounds, also a sawmill, and walled garden.

Once the stronghold of Gaelic chieftains – now museum and heritage center.

Marble Arch Caves:

Marble Arch Caves are one of Europe's finest show caves allowing visitors to explore a fascinating, natural underworld of rivers, waterfalls, winding passages, lofty chambers, stalactites and stalagmites.

Devenish Island:

Fascinating 12th century round tower and abbey. Accessible only by boat, the ferry service operates from just over 1 mile from Tranquillity Cottage.

White Island:

12th century church with pre-dating archaic stone figures. Accessible only by boat, with boat time available from Manor House Marine, just 3 miles from Tranquillity Cottage.

Belleek Pottery:

Enjoy a guided tour around the factory and watch the craftsmen and women make the beautiful pieces of pottery that have made Fermanagh famous. A gift shop at the end of the tour enables you to purchase gifts.

The Lakeland Forum is a large Sports & Leisure Center with heated indoor swimming pool, fitness suite and squash courts. Large children’s play park outside the center.

Ulster American Folk Park:

The museum and trail around contemporary houses and farmsteads tells the story of emigration from Ulster to America in the 18th & 19th centuries. A full day’s entertainment whatever the weather.

Voted N.I. most visited Tourist Attraction 2004.

Sheelin Irish Lace Museum:

The museum traces the history of lace making in Ireland.

Boat Hire:

You can hire a boat from the Manor House Hotel Marina (3 miles from Tranquillity Cottage) or from Castle Archdale Country Park Marina (8 miles from Tranquillity Cottage). Both marina’s offer boat hire on full or half day basis. Fuel and lifejackets included in price.

For those who do not wish to hire a boat, the cruise boat MV Kestral departs from Round 'O' Quay, Enniskillen for a 1 hour 45 minute cruise of Lower Lough Erne, including stop off at Devenish Island. Dinner cruises commence in May until September, departing 18.30hrs sharp and return 22.00hrs prices include a 2hr cruise and a 2-course dinner at the Moorings Riverside Restaurant, Bellanaleck.
