RETURNABLE DEPOSITS
A damage bond of £50.00 is required.
This will be returned no later than 3 working days after your
departure provided there is no damage to furnishings or buildings.
|
PARKING
There is parking for up to 2 cars at the cottage.
As the cottage is semi-detached we would appreciate your consideration
for our neighbours parking.
|
CHILDREN
Families are particularly welcome at the cottage. As parents
ourselves we appreciate that it is often the little things
that can make a difference to a holiday. With this in mind
we have provided the second bedroom with its own TV and video
– ideal for putting the children to bed early. There
is also an extensive range of books, games, toys and videos
suitable for children of all ages.
Younger members of the family can also benefit from their
own play area complete with traditional wooden playhouse and
junior size patio furniture and chairs.
HOUSEHOLD LINEN
Bedding is included in hire of the cottage and
when you arrive the beds will be freshly made up. In the kitchen
you will find two tea-towels and some dishclothes. Please
note bathroom towels are not provided. Bedlinen for the travel
cot is not provided and parents are advised to bring their
child's own bedding for health and safety reasons.

BABYSITTING
We do not directly organize babysitting but can
give you the names and contact telephone numbers for local
babysitters. Why not book a babysitter and enjoy an evening
dinner cruise on the Lough Erne?
|
HEATING The large living room has a warm
and welcoming open fire which can burn household coal and
logs.
Tranquillity Cottage also benefits from oil fired central
heating which is operated via a meter. The meter accepts £1
only and £1 will give 4 hours of heating. The meter
can be paused to save the remaining credit if you decide to
go out or if the cottage is warm enough.
|
MOBILE PHONES
The cottage does not have a BT telephone line
but gets good mobile telephone reception.
|
PETS Dogs are welcome but only by prior
arrangement. This will be on condition that it has its own
bedding, not left unattended in the cottage at any time. This
is especially important as the cottage is beside Riversdale
Forest when farm and other animals are often present.
Large or potentially aggressive breeds are not allowed. Owners
are also politely asked to ensure they do not foul the grounds
of the cottage.

LOCAL SHOPPING
Enniskillen town centre is 5 miles away and
features a host of local craft shops with unusual gifts and
souvenirs. Ballinmallard village is 3 miles away. Driving
from the Enniskillen town centre out to the cottage is a garage
(beside Cathcart Machinery at fork in road). This is a good
place to pick up coal etc and offers a well-stocked service
shop.
|
LOCAL ACTIVITIES
The cottage has a bundle of leaflets advertising
the extensive variety of things to do in and around the area
as well as hill walking and touring. These include angling,
horse riding, sailing, boats trips and of course eating out.
The local Tourist Information centre will be able to supplement
these with further up to date details.
Their telephone number is (028) 6632 3110.

HOSPITALS AND HEALTH CENTRE While we all
hope we will never need a doctor on holiday we can never be
to sure, particularly with holidaying with children! Enniskillen
has its own 24 hour Accident & Emergency Hospital.
For your convenience there is a map detailing directions to
the hospital from the cottage, in the visitors guide.
A health center is located in the same grounds as the hospital.
